Regional development study of the territory for the purpose of further use

The recreational navigation on the Morava is a project that offers many opportunities in the sphere of ecological tourism. The aim of the project was to work out a regional development study. It is a strategic document for developing water tourism and recreational navigation in the part of “central Morava”, i.e. from Skalica up to Moravský sv. Ján. This document is a complex work which is based on seven smaller studies. It evaluates the state of Pomoravie territory, and suggests strategies of development possibilities in it. It stresses the revitalization and protection of villages in this area, the development of international cooperation, and evaluates optimal location of docks and ports on the Morava, considering the future sustainability of this project. The aim is to open up recreational navigation on the Morava for visitors from the Slovak and Czech side, as well as supporting trips and using private crafts.
